Our English and Spanish lawyers provide our English speaking clients with advice on their options in relation to matrimonial matters in Spain.

Foreign residents in Spain can get divorced in Spain under Spanish law, but I would recommend British citizens to divorce in the UK as it will be easier for them due to the use of English law and the English language. The whole process will be easier for clients to understand. If a spanish property is involved then the English Courts decision in relation to the Spanish property can then be enforced in Spain.

As Spanish lawyers we can deal with our client's English lawyers in relation to the Spanish properties sale or transfer of a half share owned by one party.

If our clients do not currently have an English lawyer, our firm's own English Solicitor can assist them in finding a suitable UK Solicitor to act for them in their divorce.

Alternatively if a foreign citizen is resident in Spain our Spanish lawyers can act for them in divorce proceedings in Spain should they prefer that option.
