Des Sparkes was educated at Stonyhurst College in Lancashire and in 1986 was awarded an LLB honours degree in law at the University of Hull. He later gained a Masters LLM degree in law from Southampton University.

He completed his legal training split between the law firms of Corlett Bolton & Co in Douglas, Isle of Man and G. Howard & Co in Croydon, England. Before moving to Spain he worked for the City office of Hill Dickinson in London.

Des Sparkes has been working in Spain as an English Solicitor licensed to practise in Spain with Spanish lawyers for over 5 years.

His areas of practice in association with Spanish lawyers are residencial and commercial Spanish property law, Spanish litigation and Spanish conveyancing.

He holds a Practising Certificate as a Solicitor from the Law Society of England & Wales to work with Spanish lawyers in Spanish law. He is also a member of the local Malaga Law Society "Ilustre Colegio de Abogados de Malaga". (It is a requirement for foreign lawyers working in Spain to be registered as members of their local Spanish law society.)

Luis Mesa Abogado (Spanish lawyer) obtained a Spanish Law degree at the University of Seville in Spain. He then completed a Masters degree in International and Comparative Law at London Guildhall University. Followed by a Masters degree in European Law at the University of Seville in Andalucia, Spain.

He specialises in Spanish property law, domestic and commercial Spanish conveyancing, as well as providing Spanish business and company law advice from his office Mesa & Green in Marbella, Malaga, Spain. Providing legal services for the whole of the southern Andalucian region of Spain.
